Well, I'll be fücked. Ain't this one quite the little freak?
Because sure, it does have its share of corny nonsense. It likes its eye metaphors. It's something Teenage Ivern could've written, hundreds of years ago, when the world was still green and writing four paragraphs about the color of someone's irises was acceptable.
BUT! I like the edge. I like the violence. I like mommy FL. Overall, the cast is quite magnetic. There is beauty in exaggeration, y'know? There is a kind of charm in going all out with characterizing your leads and second leads like it's 2009 and we are on Wattpad and my OC is a hot dommy mommy snake lady who is dark but also secretly a good girl.
And let's be honest. "Breaking the choirboy into sin"? It is a classic. It's a phenomenally arousing trope. Sure, the social commentary about faith and the moral ambiguity of reality is interesting, breaking the yoke of dogmatism is fun, but what I really like is watching while Blondie creams him pants, and we all know it. Not only that: you like it too. You enjoy the descent in depravity. You like it when good boi goes to the slùt side of the Force.
Btw, the art is quite good. There is a reason for the metaphors: FL's eyes shine like droplets of the most frigid dew, reflecting the forest canopy in their crystalline rotundities, languidly shimmering with the fitful light of secret glades~ waaaaaaait. WHAT THE FÜCK?! TEENAGE IVERN? YOU! YOU WERE AT MY SIDE, ALL ALONG? You never left! You were always inside me, like a yaoi top with his love interest in the first chapter of this site's average mang- mmmh? You don't know what I'm talking about? You are "heTerOseXual", you "swear"?! Oh...oh sweetie... Sure. Let's talk about that again, in a couple of decades.
Anyways, this reunion is reason for celebration! I feel younger already! Gonna give it a 8½ on the Ivern Scale™️! It's a bit early, but the potential is there! Almost surely, it will be AT LEAST an unique ride.

In my opinion, both the MC and the MC's brother needs help, the MC needs to grow up and the MC's brother needs to learn that nor everyone is gonna like him, which includes his brother, the MC's brother also gotta stop 🍇ing him cause bro tf😑
Anyway even with how utterly f-ed is I still give it a 4 cause I think it has potential, I just hope they don't become a couple at the end cause that's weird af and they need therapy or sumin'
